About Pathways to You
Hi. I’m Mary Ann. Happy to meet you. 5 years ago, when I turned 50, I decided that my mantra for the year was going to be Fit and Fabulous at Fifty! That I was ready to live a life of thriving rather than just a life of surviving. I was determined that being a half century old was not going to get me down. But instead, I began a journey of self-discovery and self-improvement that has led me to today.
Since I began this journey, I have prayed that God would prepare me today for what He had for me tomorrow. Hence – Today! Believe me, where I am today, is not anything like what I expected, and it certainly is not what I planned. But God clearly told me that He knew me better than I knew myself and that He knew what was better for me than I knew for me. So, I said: Okay, Lord, Jesus take the wheel.
If you have landed here, you know me already, maybe. I hope you know that I love my family, that I love serving in ministry and that I love shepherding, mentoring and caring for others. Over these last years, I have learned that coaching is a great way to have influence in people’s lives as well as helping people discover who they are and the paths that God has them on. (It is always a privilege and an honor to be trusted with your struggle and to be part of new growth through coaching).
So, here we are. Part of my journey includes the Enneagram. When I first found it and learned my Type, I wept. I wept because I felt known. I wept because even though I felt exposed, I felt overwhelmingly loved and accepted by the One who created me. Although, there were tears, there was also relief! I thought – Wow, I am not the only one who thinks, feels and acts this way.
Using the Enneagram as a self-discovery tool has given me new awareness and language as I am continuing to grow and evolve. (Yes, even us old folks are still growing and evolving). My belief is that the more you KNOW, the more you GROW and then the more you can GO! God does not want me to live a life in auto pilot. Scripture clearly teaches that transformation through Christ is a life that flourishes. I want that, don’t you?
I hope you will follow me on my journey of discovery and that you will also find your own pathway of self-discovery. I hope I get to be part of that.
